Hi,
I’m new to the board but I’ve been a prowler for a while on here but I have a big dilemma and I was hoping you kind people could help me :)!
So sadly in 6th grade I was not placed into Algebra I so I was behind a year in math until I doubled up last year and took Algebra II and Geometry (Current sophomore). So unlike the others in my grade I was unable to double up in science and take both Bio H and Chem H but instead only took bio. Currently I am taking Chem H and I hate it so I’m definitely not taking the chem SAT…
I was okay at bio I got a 90 last year (Iowest grade last year) and our teacher was very good but was pretty difficult (I was in upper average of the class) I’m not sure if I’m in love with Bio (like it more than chem haha) as I don’t think I should take the AP course as it is really hard in our school but I do find the material pretty interesting.
On the other hand, I love math and do well in those kinds of classes so I think I would do well in AP Physics 1 next year which is what I am planning to take (also a lot easier than AP Bio).
But my dilemma is that AP Physics 1 is only half the material that is on the SAT so I would have to self study a lot the summer between junior and senior year (which would be pretty hectic) and then take the SAT in September of my senior year.
My second option is that I could study for bio over the summer and take the SAT September of my junior year and if I do good (ie:800) be finished and not take the physics SAT?
I don’t know what I should do and which plan is more feasible. Which SAT is easier to self study for and get an 800?
Please post any of your suggestions on what I should do they are highly appreciated as I am completely clueless in what I should do.
Thank you for reading such a long post!
