I took the SAT in the fall of my Junior year and got an 1890, with zero prep just walking into the room and taking the test.
in the Spring on my Junior year, I got a 33 on the ACT in the same situation, knowing nothing about the ACT. There is obviously a big difference between my ACT and SAT, but I think I can improve much more on the SAT because I got a 780 on the math subject test in the Spring, without even knowing I was signed up for it until the night before. I bought the blue book 2nd edition to study and I am hoping this will help for the October SAT. Can anyone who made drastic increases in their SAT through using the blue book (and the blue book alone due to no access to SAT courses, tutors, etc) share how they studied the blue book? Did you just do all the problems and got better with practice, or did you analyze which problems you missed and practice more of those types? I am aiming to increase my 1890 to a 2300 by October, it is July 3rd now so I have 3 months. I know most people will say this is an unrealistic increase, but I am confident I can do it with studying. My ACT Reading was 34 so I’m not only good at math, I should be able to increase in all scores evenly. Please post past experiences, general advice, anything that will help me and other fellow CCers increase their scores. Thanks!
The 780 on the math subject test was on the Math level 2 test btw
I am going through the same exact thing. I also scored a 1890 on the sat exam in June. And taking it agin in October. Good luck!
Good luck to you too! @notwbog123
