Ok, I'm going through this really weird argument with my parents who are convinced that my SATs+SAT II's are not good enough. The odd thing is, that ANYONE would just laugh at me for saying this. I think I'm done with standardized testing, but my mom keeps wanting to push the envolope.

Scores:
SAT I (first and only try)--> 2350 with 750 verbal and 800 math+writing

SATII's
800 math
790 chem
750 bio
770 USh
790 Chinese

Yeah, i no, my parents must be crazy huh? But recently they got talking to some ppl who they say are knoledgable and apparently i need to retake my verbal to bring up that 750, especially becaues I'm asian and they say too many asians get perfect math writing etc... and also cuz all my "non perfects" are in the humanities, they all say i need to retake humaniites/take more. Maybe english SAT II, retake USH etc.. believe it or not they even want me to retake SAT i to bring up verbal, they say that theyd rather see me reverse my math/verbal scores...

Almost all their arguments say I cannot listen to what everyone around me/my couneslors say about my scores being good enough BECAUSE I AM ASIAN and i'm held to higher standard (is that even a viable argument? seems wrong to me). My parents basically say that I'm competing with other asians andthe fact of the matter is that competition IS just this strict.

They say of the 10 HYPS friends we have,, I hvae the lowest scores... and are CONVINCED this is a factor in what gets them in

I've been saying a 750 verbal wont get me cut from admissions and that i'm focusing too much on the wrong stuff, they wont buy it.

I'd like to hear your ideas on this... Dont blast me or be sarcastic. How can i convince my parents? I feel like they hvaed this super warped asian view of admissions, but maybe its me that's wrong. How do i argue my side
