I am helping a senior 4.0 strong coursework. I think he would really like this school as it is smaller. It is just a bit farther away from CA than he wanted but he is interested in math/chem or engineering. They are in need of good aid due to layoffs this year and the residual costs after full tuition seem low enough. I know it is past priority date too.
@BrownParent, my son really liked UAH when he visited last spring! He loved the size, the friendly people, and the laid back atmosphere. They also have a really strong engineering program.
@UAHAdmissions, that’s very good to know that students can still qualify for the full tuition scholarship up until August 1st! UAH is a hidden gem, IMO.
Hello @BrownParent ,
Thank you for your question! To instantly receive 100% tuition (in and out of state included) for all 4 years at UAH, a student would need to score a 1330 SAT (critical reading & math only) and a 3.5 GPA (weighted). This is based on our Merit Tuition Scholarship. Also, UAH will accept any new SAT scores and upgrade scholarships accordingly through August 1st after the student graduates high school. Additionally, all students are encouraged to apply for other 200+ Competitive Scholarships found here: www.uah.edu/scholarships . Please let UAH Admissions know if you need any furst assistance or have questions about our scholarship systems.
Thank you!
Thanks he applied and admitted with full scholarship, we had him take the ACT and he did get the needed score. Now hopefully a visit. He likes a smaller friendly school
