What would the college board do if they saw a 400-500 point increase from the june test to october?

I don’t think they would do anything… However, I’m not sure how realistic that is given the short amount of time you have, but go for it! Study, study, study

There is a possibility they would cancel your score and offer you a free retake. It happened to one of my students. It seems unfair, but they do it to protect the integrity of the test.

I’ve had to deal with cases where some of my students were accused of cheating because they showed too much improvement (this has happened with both the SAT and ACT). One such case is still pending. I’ve already testified at the hearing and I’m still waiting for the results. Other students in the past have been found not guilty after a long, drawn out process. Unfortunately it seems they can bring a case based solely on a score increase and without any other evidence of cheating.

What happens if I register a new account and take a test with that? Still possible for CB to cancel the score and offer a free test? Because I will be taking the october test. The scores will come out in november. CB will say I cheated. Then offer me a test in december. By the time scores come out (January) I won’t be able to apply to colleges.

Arg!

I read on an older post that they check if there is a 450 point increase and or a 200 point increase in a single subject. Is this true?

How long does their investigation usually take?
I’m very concerned about this because I started my rigorous prep course:
Prep me .com ---->average 305 point increase
studying Outsmarting the SAT by Elizabeth King ---->respected private tutor
Direct Hits volume 1 and 2
Barron’s CR and M practice books
Barron’s root word list
SAT boot camp offered by my AP Calc teacher who writes math questions for standardized tests(8 week private tutoring, 8 previously administered tests he purchased and additional work)
reading news papers, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest, the house of god, and mount misery

I’m giving up a lot of enjoyment in these next 3 months so that I can pull my 1780 to a 2000+ for UCLA

I really don’t want to deal with having to retake it if I do get raised by a lot. It’s just unfair.
