I just received my sat scores today. i was wondering what's the average sat score of people who get accept into EECS out of state? i wanna know where i stack so i'll know whether or not to retake the sats. thanks

I heard you needed over a 2300 to get into engineering.

Incorrect.
I'm an EECS major and my SAT was below 2300 (below 2200 for that matter).

Mine was 2230.

SAT score of 2100 won't help/hurt you IMO. Anything else is a bonus.

I am in state, my SAT was below 2000, and I got in EECS. Of cause I have other things to compensate that.

If you are not interested in the EE part of EECS, to increase your OoS admission chance, you should consider L&S CS

I'm international, but I got into EECS with only 2110 SAT.

You don't really need 2300 to get into engineering. It would be nice, but it's not necessary. I'm betting they care more the math part and math/science subject scores than your SAT score as a whole. I'm instate and I got in with a 2110 SAT (790 Math) / 34 ACT (36 Math).

Interestingly, my Math score on the SAT was lower than my Reading and Writing scores. Go figure.

Though I did get a 790 on the Math II SAT II so who knows.
