SAT score received after application deadline

I just received my December SAT scores and I received an 800. However, on my Duke application, I reported my old scores since the December scores did not come out yet at that time.

Should I email the schools that I will be sending the December scores instead?

@Gumbymom can you help me with this question?

@mom2collegekids Can you also help me out if you know anything about it?

@happy1 Can you help me if possible?

Duke allows self-reported scores…is there a way you can upload the new subject test score to your portal?

If not, email your AO with a screen shot or pdf of your score and ask to have it added to your file.

You could also have your GC include the updated scores with midterm grades.

I agree with @Mwfan1921 and @momofsenior1 advice above ^^^^. Did you note on the application that you were taking the December sitting? If so, then they should be expecting the scores but still better to email or contact them.

Not sure what kind of help you expect. Per the Duke website the latest SAT that will be considered is the November test. See below:

https://admissions.duke.edu/checklist-and-deadlines/ SAT and/or ACT scores “We will consider additional testing taken after the deadline but before decisions are made. The latest date for additional testing is November 3 for the SAT and Subject Tests and October 27 for the ACT.”

So sure, go ahead and send the test ASAP but I would not count on the December score being considered.
