SAT score recipients

^i’m spreading the misery. :stuck_out_tongue: if i can’t forget it then i’ll keep reminding everyone else too:D:D

hey can’t we print our score report, attest it and then send it to the college? or do we have to send the score through ETS?

oh sry collegeboard nt ETS

USER95 ? more like USER666! 3:)
cc2016, did you not use the four free score sending facility from collegeboard? You could have used that. If not then you get your scores tomorrow and send it through the collegeboard itself,by paying of course. You cannot print and fax/scan and send it.

@ cc2016, not all colleges (in fact, very few colleges) accept your printed score report. You need to check out the websites of the colleges you are applying to. Be sure that none of top 50-100 national universities may accept those printed reports.

Don’t worry you can still send the reports, albeit a $14 (or $17, I am not sure) charge must be paid.

yeah i have already listed the 4 colleges.bt then m askin 4 the other colleges i’ll be appyling to.is it the same with TOEFL?

for other colleges, we have to pay dollars for each score ordered

@all: in most cases, you’ll have to pay and send your scores via collegeboard to your college. However, some colleges might accept your printed scores.
How do I know? My friend did that when applying to different schools and I think most of them, at least in her college-list, accepted them.
The trick here is, print the score report, get it attested AND ask your GC* to send it to the adcom via his/her email id.
In the email, along with the attached attested scanned copy of score reports, Our GC wrote something about the financial burden that would be caused to the applicant’s family when sending it via collegeboard, due to the unfavorable exchange rate. He also stated that the score reports were genuine to his knowledge and had himself attested it. And blah blah… Ask your GC to write a short letter for why he’s doing it rather than just stating that it’s a scanned copy of whatever. That way, it should help.
Now, I don’t take the guarantee that this would work for you guys but its worth a shot. If the adcom still doesn’t agree with that then you can pay and send them the scores.

And, now please don’t ask, which all colleges did accept the scores 'coz I don’t know and/or remember them.
*GC=Guidance Counselor
adcom=admission committe (the officer)

PS I’m back ;)

^welcome back trinitian! feels great to see long posts from seniors :D

in my case i forgot to use the free four scores for TOEFL (i’m still cursing myself!!) and i emailed all of my colleges. Some agreed readily and for others it took some persuasion but they all agreed to accept the attested reports. like trinitian said it’s worth a shot!

@eyeamme i considered that but user666 is already taken :P

@user95, tough luck then. Sad eh? XP

^tell me about it… at least the next best option was available >:P>:P>:P

well this sounds good…and i have only this option left…//

^but mail your colleges. not all accept attested score reports.

hey all
how was ur SAT score? did anyone appear for oct session?
i screwed up mine.:(

^we all did man, we all screwed up (or atleast i did!! :()

^Make that three!! X(

hey
i have already sent my scores to my colleges…now will they review my 1st score even if i give the test again or will they consider my best score.?

btw guyz how much had u practised ?now is 1 month enough to raise my score by 400?
seriously man!! i m totally messed up…

@cc2016: reviewing the best score out of different tests is called Super Scoring. These days, most colleges Super Score but not all. So you might wanna check your college website to know about that.

Since he says he ought to improve his score by 400,(good luck with that. Practice -practice-practice) he wouldn’t really require to Super Score.
