SAT score reporting

I'll be applying for the class of 2013 and I want to know if I should have my SAT scores sent to the USNA and to my senators and congressperson this first time that I take the SAT on March 1st. I am planning to take it maybe 3 times - so should I send it on a later test when my score is hopefully higher?
Thanks for any advice that you can give to me.

You might as well send your scores to the SAs. They will record all of your scores, but they use your highest scores no matter how many times you take the SAT/ACT.

My daughter did not have her scores sent directly to her MOCs. Her HS (and many other includes standard test scores on transcripts, so there was no need to have the scores sent directly.

Depends on your school and MOC's. Our high-school would not send any test scores and they did not appear on their transcripts. Also some MOC'S will not take them if they do not come directly from Collage Board or ACT. Better check before you assume that they will come from your high school.

Our high school also would not let my son send his packages directly to the MOC's as they had letters of reference and a transcript in the package. The package had to be sent by the HS. Many schools have this policy so plan on this when figuring out your time frame for sending things before the deadline.

NavySupporter,
Re: MOCs: check your Congressperson's website re: his/her nomination form. If memory serves, both CA Senators either asked applicants to supply scores or accepted photocopies of the score reports.

If I'm not mistaken, when the College Board sends SAT scores they always send all the scores you have, so If you don't send early scores they will get them when you send later scores. Might as well send the early ones. Heck, it might help for them to see you improved over time.

I believe my daughters scores improved about 250 points, not counting writing, over the times she took the test.

about i year ago i sent my march SAT scores to usna and it turns out they never receieved them because at that time it was too early and they didnt have a file on me because the application didnt start yet. i would wait until you know they hav a record of you so you can send your scores to another school
