SAT scores came in today, what are my chances?

(just do as many as you can)

Definitely Applying to:
1. Boston University
2. Northeastern University*
3. Mass College of Pharmacy/Health Sciences Boston*
4. Rutgers*
5. University of New Hampshire

Considering:
1. Boston College
2. NYU
3. Brandeis
4. George Washington
5. University of Texas Austin
6. Fordham
7. University of Connecticut
8. Baylor

*= I'm applying to the accelerated pharmacy program, which I'm guessing is more competitive than the schools other programs.

My Stats are:

GPA Unweighted: about 3.8 or 3.9
GPA Weighted: 4.1563
Class Rank: 8 out of 486

SAT:

SUPERSCORE: 1910 (CR: 670 M: 620 W: 620)
May 2010: 1820 (CR: 600 M: 600 W: 620)
October 2010: 1890 (CR: 670 M: 620 W: 600)
Retaking November. Wish me luck!

SAT II:
Biology: 740 World History: 640 Math 2: 580
(I might take a couple of Subject Tests in December if I need too. Also, I'm going to make every effort possible to make sure no college ever sees my math score, EVER)

ACT: Took last week, probably did terrible. Most likely retaking in December.

AP Exams:
Biology: 5
Statistics: senior year
Chemistry: senior year
Calculus: senior year

Classes and Grades: Here's a copy of my transcript, http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x373/Zoidberg93/highschooltranscript.jpg

Extracurricular Activities:
Recreational soccer (since sophomore year)
Youth group (since freshman year, but skipped junior year)
Hindi school (same as youth group)
Dartmouth Community Medical Lectures (since sophomore year)
Debate Team (sophomore year only)
Free Thinkers Club (junior year only)
Young Democrats (sophomore and senior year)
Key Club (senior year)

Community Service/Volunteer:
Tutored other high school students through peer tutoring program at school
Sold tickets/merchandise for a literary organization during their special events
I don't know if this counts but I volunteered during the 2008 elections
That's pretty much it. This is probably my weakest area. Yeah, I know I suck for not helping people out more, so I do apologize to all the less fortunate people out there! I'll try to make up for it this year.

Honors:
National Honor Society
1st place in Western New England College Engineering Competition
St. Anselm Book Award
Model UN Delegate of the Year
High Honors Roll

Extra Stuff:

Ethnicity: Indian (of the South Asian variety, not Native American)

High School: Above average public school, usually a handful of students get into top-tier schools every year.

Location: NH

Also, I have some credits from a local community college.

If any part needs clarification, don't hesitate to ask! Thanks!

I’d say you’re in at UConn and BU, and you look solid for NYU, especially if you do well on the ACT or retake the SAT. The rest I don’t know much about. Best of luck!

Thanks man! BU is my top choice so I hope I get in

You’ll get into BU easy even with your current SAT score, it’s one of the easiest universities to gain admittance into and to be frank, it shouldn’t be one of your top choices unless you are keen on doing pre-med.

I would say you aim at NYU and equivalent instead. Good luck.

Thanks for the chance. I’m not so sure I’m going to get in though: my subject tests and extracirriculurs seem weak. NYU I think is my biggest reach and seems like a longshot. I’m not set on pre-med so I’d like to go to a large school with a bunch of options

More chances pleeeease

Look… If you want a shot, you gotta get above 2000 on the SAT, man. And even then, it just looks bad when you have >700 in some sections but not others. Do you really think admissions officers WANT to admit someone with a sub-2000 SAT? Me neither.

I don’t think that necessarily applies to most of the schools I’m applying to. Some specific chances would be cool.

not experienced, but everything looks good, maybe a little higher on the sat, like a 2000

u are close to a 2000 so it shouldn’t be a prob

Yeah I’ll try next time but I’m fine with a 1910 if that’s the best I can do
