<p>as iceikle said, Bates is SAT optional, they will not penalize you in the application process if you choose not to submit your scores.</p>
<p>that's the beauty of Bates...but one thing....how do they compare between two applicants of whom one has SAT scores but the other hasn't......</p>
<p>each person is judged as an individual and only people who have submitted test scores are compared to one another. I chose to submit my scores because I thought that they added a positive aspect to my application, but I know that they were not what got me into Bates.</p>
