What level of Spanish is recommended before taking the SAT Spanish Subject Test. I just completed level 2, and am not planning on taking Spanish in the future but I heard the test was easy. Feedback would be much appreciated.

It depends on what you’re going for. In Spanish --and all language tests-- students often go for lower scores because it’s all they need for credit.

For a 600-700 I think Spanish II is okay.
For a 700- 750 you probably want to have Spanish III.
For a 750 +, I would recommend AP

I took the exam and got a 750. I have taken up to AP, but only got a 4 on the AP exam and took the subject test ONE YEAR removed from any Spanish class whatsoever.

My advice is also highly dependent on what the Spanish curricula at your school look like. For the exam you need to know ALL TENSES and how to use them. Your Critical reading skills also need to be pretty high (quite a bit less than the Critical Reading skills required for the AP, but nevertheless, pretty high). The hardest part about the test, IMO is the fill in the blank essay completion. (The individual sentences are pretty easy).

Good luck on the test! Oh, btw, I am NOT a native speaker. If you are, ignore this entire post and just take the test. It will definitely be easy.
