SAT Subject placement???

My counselor says that the SAT Subject Tests are used for placement at Carolina. Which ones should I take?

Please and Thank you,
A.H.

Make sure to take Math II if you want placement that way. That’s the only one I remember right now, but I think others are probably used too.

AP’s give you credit/placement too

I happened to look this up last night. Try this…

[UNC : FAQs : Placement](http://www.admissions.unc.edu/faq/placementexams.htm#mathtest)

Thanks but does anyone know what SAT II score they are looking for to be exempt from certain courses?

just look at the website it’s all there… It’s not HARD to find!!! As far as i can remember, 690+ for language exemption

sorry i meant SAT Math II. should have clarified. it does not specify scores for that test. or if it does i don’t see where it is

[Placement Information](http://www.math.unc.edu/for-undergrads/placement-info.html)

But for language, you have to have the listening test, too (for Spanish and French), and that’s only in November, so those of us who took it and got about a 690 aren’t exempt. :(

Do you HAVE to take the placement tests to have a complete application?
