I plan on majoring in computer science. This is my score breakdown for (a few of) my subject tests:
Math 2: 800
Biology M: 800
Chemistry: 800
Physics: 780
I was wondering, which science subject score should I send? If I had got an 800 on physics, I would use that, but 780 is far from stellar when the curve allows you to get 10+ questions wrong and still have an 800. The next best thing would probably be chemistry, but I’m unsure because the molecular biology test is generally harder than the chemistry test. Which one should I use?
@suzyQ7 The reason I’m asking is because even an 800 in physics may only be 90th percentile. I feel like the fact that I wasn’t able to score an 800 may be detrimental to me. Do you think colleges like Stanford or MIT will care at all?
No, they won’t. They reject hundreds of perfect SAT/ACT/SAT2 kids. They reject hundreds of valedictorians. They accept hundreds of kids with imperfect scores and GPAs. If it was all about test scores, they would have a very boring class. Work on your essays.
