*SAT Subject Test Biology E/M June 2016 Discussion Thread*

@Tapitennis The Barrons book is not accurate, IIRC, and it is generally supposed to be like 50-100 points harder. So unless you’re only good at taking Barron’s tests, you should almost certainly get a perfect or near-perfect score on the actual SAT.

Does anyone have the link to the sparknotes practise test? I know its posted on their site somewhere (I found it before) but can’t seem to find it now ://

Ok thank you. Its kind of weird though because i found the first one (730) to be more difficult than the second test (790). What are you doing for taxonomy and classification?

Any international?

I’m pretty much just making sure to know the three most commonly tested ones(Hydra/Grasshopper/Earthworm) and the general classification trees…is there anything apart from those we should know?

God bless this page!
Crapppppp… Im so screwed. How do you guys think i will do. I got a 720 on Barrons and a 750 on PR. I honestly cannot afford anything other than an 800. Is it possible

You should be good with those organisms. And an 800 is not necessary at all. You will do well.

BTW how is the test in the official guide in terms of accuracy

@Suk2001 an 800 isnt necessary. What have you been doing to study?

^^

Anyone have link to good practice test?

Um i basically just finished ap bio and for the past two weeks have been going through the Barrons and PR books. I have taken all the barrons tests, kaplan tests, and a PR test. Today im planning on finishing the other PR test and taking the official test to see where I am

What is a good score for the Ivies? I got a 790 on the College Board test in the official study guide.

For most, a 790 is the cutoff to test out of into bio classes (or a 5 on the AP)

Also does anyone know how important knowing the cycles (water, nitrogen, carbon) will be?

Hey guys,
I’m taking the June SAT Bio M test. What are you guys doing to prep?

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

Unless it comes from the CB website, it’s copyright infringement, so don’t post illegal links here.

Does anyone know if it’s worth memorizing the differences among earthworms, flatworms, roundworms? They are of different phyla, and Barron’s includes them, but idk if if I have the time/energy to go over them.

I am stressed. What is a good SAT bio score any ways? 770? 800?

Are you taking E or M? When I did the practice tests, sometimes I am better on E, some other times I am better on M, not sure which one to take. Can we look at the M and E part tomorrow before decide on which part to take?
