So I've barely realized now (really quite late, I know) that I need to take a subject test in science for some of the schools I'm applying to. I've only recently decided that I wanted to apply to a few of these schools.

I was planning on taking Bio, but I haven't touched the subject since sophomore year, I am currently a rising senior. My Biology class was not at all rigorous, but I am a pretty strong science student and am good at memorizing. I was planning on taking the test on the October test date; is the 3 months enough time to prepare?

Although I took Chem my junior year I feel less confident that I would do well on it, and I've heard that Biology is straight memorization, which would be easier for me than trying to understand chemistry concepts. Also, I'm very interested in biology and would probably have an easier time understanding the information.

Should I take Biology, and would I have enough time to prepare? I would highly appreciate your advice!

You answered your own question there.

“Would I have enough time to prepare?”

I think so. Just get Cliffnotes and Barrons, prepare a study schedule, and then stick to it. Good luck

haha, yeah I suppose I did. I’m just unsure about the idea; I’m taking it in place of Literature, and I’m only doing so because I plan on applying to CalTech which requires Math 2 and a science. I’m debating if choosing Bio over Lit because one of the schools I’m applying to (which I don’t even have a great shot at) requires it is worth it.
