SAT Subject Test Issue

So, you know how it says on the Georgetown site, "All candidates, whether they submit scores from the SAT or ACT, are requested to submit scores from three SAT Subject Tests of their choice." Well, I only have 2. I'm applying RD, so technically I don't fulfill their requirements. Should I even bother applying? Have they ever let anyone in RD with only 2 subject tests?

" If there are extenuating circumstances which prevent an applicant from submitting three SAT Subject Test scores, the applicant should provide a written explanation to the Committee on Admissions to be included with the application."

Unless you have a good reason, I doubt you could be admitted with only 2 subject tests. Maybe, however, you can take a third subject test on the upcoming january test date. obviously it’s too late to register, but i know plenty of people who have gone to take the test on standby

Go standby, for sure. My D has done both ACT and SAT. Try to call around the week of the test, some schools will freely admit they’re “technically full” and others will say “yeah, c’mon, we always have seats”. Because you won’t have time to get to a 2nd location, it’s a one time shot.

Okay, well, I e-mailed the admissions office, so if they say I can do the January test date, then I’ll try to go on standby. If not… I won’t waste my time filling out the app.
