Hey guys,

I am taking the Bio SAT test this year and plan to at least take one other science test later. I also plan to at least take one Math test. But i hear that top colleges (Ivy's) want some diversity so I was wondering what other tests you guys think i should take. I want the easiest test/ the one i will get the highest score on. I am thinking about US history and possibly Spanish if there is a VERY good prep book out there ( my Spanish teachers have been very bad ). So I was wondering if you guys could tell me what test you think i should take and maybe even the prep book to prepare for them.

Thanks

Leading off of that question, does the subject of your SAT Subject Test play a big role?

I have 800s in two science SATs and one in Math II. Would it benefit my college application to take a Humanities SAT, or are those three 800s sufficient for top colleges?

(I am planning on going into business in college)

EDIT:** To answer your original question, I’ve had best experiences with Princeton Review. If you are looking to take another science SAT, I would recommend Physics over Chemistry.

The easiest test to score high on, in general, would be the one in which the higher scores correspond to percentile ranks lower than those of the higher scores of the other tests. In the science realm, this would by Physics, which has a very generous curve. Physics is easy to study for, but just make sure you practice with real questions. Princeton Review has a great physics book.

For humanities, I am currently studying for World History. I am using Kaplan, which has a good prep book. World History is only offered December and June. For US History, the AMSCO guide is excellent and comprehensive. The humanities require a lot of study time. But if you know your stuff, you should be confident.

You don’t need diversity. D did Math2, Chem, Bio and D is a humanities major and is at a HYP school. Don’t take Spanish unless you are a native spanish speaker.

Sorry if this is an ill-informed question
I was just wondering who is D?

Also did D have any national awards/recognition?
(Sorry just wondering)

D= daughter, DD=dear daughter, S=son, etc.

Don’t overkill yourself with subject test. Having 2-3 is enough. Since it is less important than GPA and SAT/ACT scores, you should not spend too much effort on it. If you are taking any AP courses this semester, you should be more than proficient for the corresponding subject test this May/June without further studying. I would not self study a new subject for a subject test. For science and engineering major, Math2 and one science should be taken as minimum if required.
