if my school doesn't REQUIRE sat subject tests, but i do poorly on them, does this affect admission? the subject tests are mostly used for class placement. i'm talking specifically about unc chapel hill. thank you (=

My understanding is that you do not need to submit SAT Subject Test results unless the school requires them. Even if the school asks for “all SAT test results,” they mean the general test. Does anyone know if this is correct?

^^Do you have to report all subject test results (for schools that require subject tests) or only your best results?

If you list colleges when you register for the test, the results go out to those colleges the same time they are posted for you to read. There is no time to react. The only option is to not list any colleges. After you get the scores, then you send them to the colleges if they are positive. However, under that option, you need to pay extra, vs. the first 4 colleges are free otherwise.

Unless you specify otherwise, those 4 colleges are sent every SAT and SATII score.

i have to send the best sat scores, but i’m talking about sat 2 or subject sat tests. thank you!

UNC does not requires SAT Subject Tests - if you do poorly, don’t submit them! You can always use your scores for course placement after you are admitted.
