SAT Subject Tests in 4 languages - worth it ??

Hello.

I will be taking the Chemistry and the Math II C Subject Tests (expecting quite high scores - >750) since I am currently enrolled in AP Chemistry and AP Calculus BC in a very academically rigorous private U.S. high school.

However, apart from these I would want to take SAT Subject Tests in Literature, French, Spanish and German, to demonstrate my passion for foreign languages. (English is not my native language) as I will be applying to top-tier school (ivies and so) - I am an intl student and I need full FA.

Still, I have heard the many colleges only look at 2-3 SAT scores. Would it be worth to work hard to get really high scores on my SAT Subject tests in languages ? Would it be impressive for colleges to see that an applicant speaks 4 foreign languages (+another one that I cannot take the SAT in), considering the fact that I have not lived in any of those countries, I don't have any relatives as native speakers of those languages etc.

Please answer. :)

I guess it’d look good, but tests aren’t everything dude. I think you’re over-doing it, but if it reallllllly is your passion, then go for it. Personally, I wouldn’t do 4 foreign language SAT IIs.

If you have the money and are confident in four 800’s, go ahead. If not, just mention “I can speak 4 languages” in your app. If you really want to, you could even use that as an essay topic.

I personally think that 2 foreign lang tests would be enough. And then on your app/essay, just say you can speak multiple languages and that you’re passionate about it. 4 foreign lang tests are a waste of money, plus colleges might think that taking these tests are your “hobbies”
