So I am looking at more selective schools like ivies and I was wondering if any of you more experienced people would be willing to lend me your advice on my situation.
I currently have a 1560 on the sat 1 790 M 770 E one take and an act super score of 35 (34E/36M/34R/36S) highest composite 34 with a writing score of 10/12. My sat 2 subjects are 800s in math and physics. I’m looking at business finance for a major so would my app get any help by taking a more qualitative subject test like us history or literature or would you say I can call it quits for testing and focus on essays and ECs? Thanks!
Wow thanks for quick reply. I think I was thinking that too, but it’s always nice to have someone who’s been through the process confirm your thinking. So glad i don’t have to worry about that part of my app anymore.
You have 800s,.so I wouldn’t worry about others unless you can score 800 or close on them. If you can, it may be worth it. You presumably have grades and AP tests in other subjects, so I am sure they won’t think you are just good at STEM if you submit those.
Colleges that require or recommend subject tests want two, except Georgetown requests three. Generally you will find only some of those stating what they want to see for business related majors but the ones that do actually provide that information state they want a math SAT subject test and second one can be anything. Thus, unless you intend to apply to Georgetown, which does not have a business college, you need no more tests.
