So I got home from the SAT IIs a few hours ago. I took USH and Math II, and I'll take World History next time. I think I bombed Math II pretty badly, and I was wondering if my USH and WH scores are higher, will Columbia disregard the Math II score? They take the highest two, correct?

The curve on Math II is pretty generous so you might not have done as badly as you think.

Im not sure what it will be like now that they are changing to the common application, but on the old Columbia one, there was only space to put two subject tests, although you still had to send them all your scores for everything that you had ever taken.

They will only look at your two best subject tests, don’t worry. Except for Harvard, Georgetown, Princeton, and some other universities, no schools in the USA require three SAT IIs. And I’m sure Columbia will not join this list of exceptions.

By the way, did you know that they actually accept the Math1 and Math2 subject tests as two different tests which fulfil the requirement? I asked them last year and they told me that it was alright, they would regard them as two separate tests (although they would recommend me to send a third one-but still, I think it’s useful to know:))

While they may only consider the top two, meaning that the low math score won’t count against you, they do see all of the SATIIs. So if you take a lot of SATIIs and do well on them, I think that will give you a boost.
