I don't know which subject tests I should take. I'm thinking of taking Math II, because I'm currently in AP Calculus AB and will be taking BC next year. And I'm also considering either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. I took Biology in the 9th grade, Chemistry in the 10th, and I'm currently in Physics. Unfortunately, they don't offer any AP science courses at my school so I would have to self study. I'm leaning towards Chemistry, because of the three it's my best subject. Lastly, there's World History or US History. I took AP World last year and got a 4 on the exam. I'm not in APUSH... I'm taking US History Honors. I really wish I had taken the Chemistry and World History Subject Tests in June.

My recommendation is that you obtain the College Board Subject Test book. It contains actual past exams in each of the subject tests. Then under test conditions take the tests you’re considering. Grade them, and look over the questions that you got wrong. Those questions will most likely identify your gaps. Are you able and willing to spend time to address the gaps? Is your score on the tests high enough?

My sense is that you’ll be able to answer the question yourself with a high level of precision.

I agree with fogcity. Get a prep book for each subject you are considering taking. Most city or school libraries have SAT prep books (although they may be a bit old) if you don’t want to spend too much money. Take the diagnostic test and figure out which ones you are your best subjects and therefore which ones will take the least amount of time to study for. Math 2 is always a great one and it sounds like you will be prepared. Chemistry can be difficult but you don’t need any AP Chem knowledge to get a good score. Biology is much easier to self study. Physics is the only test that I have heard that you need some AP Physics knowledge if you hope to score over a 680. World history also sounds like a great test for you.

But really just take the practice tests and you should be fine :)
