SAT Subject Tests

For applying to The College, do they REQUIRE that you take a Foreign Language Subject Test? The website says “recommended” but does that mean “YES DO IT” in less blatant terms?

You don't need to take it. I think most people get in without taking the foreign language SATII. I would strongly consider taking it though if you want to apply for Huntsman.

Yeah its only recommended but I too thought they were basically saying its required but I got into the college ED without it, so you should be all right.

unless your intended major is something like international relations, a language, or studies of a particular culture, its OK if you didn't take a language SAT II.

I plan on majoring in physics or mathematics...so there is no need to take a Foreign Language Subject Test?

Also, Penn only requires 2 Subject Tests for admissions? So if you take more than 2 will they ONLY consider your two highest or will all ur scores come into play?

What is the average SAT II subject score for admission into Penn?

Yeah, I'm curious about SAT II scores as well.

Do they take your SAT II scores into consideration along with your AP scores? I got in the 600s on the SAT II for American history, but a 5 on the AP, for example. (I did poorly on the SATII because I took it a long time after the AP exam, cos I didn't realize you needed SAT IIs for all the top colleges).

Penn says they take the top 2 scores, I emailed my adcom, but keep in mind that the adcom will see all your scores once you send it
