Sat subject tests

Okay, so i took the subject tests in november and got a 550 lit 640 math. terrible, i know. I didn't submit those to UC.

Took them again today, except this time physics. predicting around a 700 math 650 physics.

My SAT is 2100,
My UC GPA is 4.15

I'm female, applying as a mechanical engineering major.

How likely is it that I'll get in? Will my subject test scores kill me?

UC’s require you to send all your scores in I thought… including all of your subject tests…

There’s score choice this year.

But either way I don’t think it really matters since they take your two highest scores to calculate some special number… idk that’s what i heard

yea there is score choice this year… oh I think it is that they highly recommend you don’t use it or something…

oh really? so they don’t even distinguish between the subject tesst themselves? so like they aren’t going to not accept you bc you didn’t take math2c?

^yeah, they recommend you don’t use it but they wouldn’t know.

No, you need math 2c. they take your highest score on that and your highest score on another subject (not math 1)

come on you guysss

Honestly, I don’t think it really matters. For engineering, your stats are too low. You have a small chance with great essays, but don’t count on it.

And for engineering, you d need math2c, I’m sorry if you don’t have it. But it’s basically a requirement.

You probably did better in physics than you think since it has a very cushy curve and you are interested in mech e. which makes me think you are good at physics.

I expected at 700-750 and got an 800.

the math test i took was Math II.
For engineering, are all my stats too low, or just the subject tests?

^ Also, I’m pretty sure I actually did get around a 650. I answered 46/75 and the highest you can get with a raw 46 is 690. I probably missed a few.

The main reason my subject tests are so low is because I can never finish the tests…
I’m kinda slow. :/

Ironically, I’m one of the best math students in my class, as well as one of the best physics students… :/
