SAT Subjects or SAT by October?

Hey everyone, I'm really conflicted on which I should take this October for my SAT. Since i'm going for QuestBridge, thus I'm ranking colleges, my last SAT that I can take is this October. I have a 1860 on my SAT, which is horrible, yes I know -.- since I have test anxiety and I can't bear the time. However, I took 2 subject tests before without studying for them and I got 740 on both - Physics and Math II. I KNOW that if I study this time, I will get a higher score than just 740. However, I don't know if I should keep my 740's and raise my SAT (which I doubt it'll go up because I'm really bad at it) or should I retake the Subject tests this october to hopefully get 800 on both (which i believe I have a higher chance in doing so compared to the raising the score of my SAT)? My extracurriculars are all centered around science and math, and right now, I don't know which one I should take? Should I take the subject tests and perfect my score to prove to top notched colleges during the national college match that my strength is in science and math? or should I raise my SAT up? help?

Maybe if you study for the SAT you’ll be better at it…you offer to study for the SAT subject tests but not the SAT which makes no sense. QuestBridge probably cares more about SAT scores than the subject tests scores. I would just leave the subject tests alone for now and take the SAT.

Why don’t you try this last ditch effort. Study for the subject tests and take them again to get 800s. Also, study for the ACTs and take them. If you’re good at Subject Tests you should easily get above a 32 on the ACT.

SAT is more important the subject tests and your scores for the subject tests are fine. If I were you, I’d focus more on raising the SAT score.
