SAT Test how much taken it?

I wonder how much time you may take the SAT, before it will hurt you chances.
Ive heard that taken too much SAT, the Universities(esspecially Ivies) will dont appreciate that.

I would say 3 is the most you should take. If you think you can improve by a LOT on your 4th, take a 4th test, but I would say never take it more than that since it will seem to universities that you are just struggling for high test scores and are focusing on that too much and are not really capable. Shoot for 3 times though.

I have a question to add to this thread...I took the old SAT once and did very well. Do you think I can only take the new SAT 2 more times or is it ok to take it 3 more times? Thanks.

Take it twice

Three is ok though.

The whole idea of a three test limit is a myth. A while back, after a similar post, someone had spoken with adcoms at some of the top schools (HYP etc) and was told to take the SAT as many times as you are comfortable with. If you think you'll be able to significantly raise your score and you're willing to fork over the money, go ahead and take the test. Most colleges only consider your highest score anyway, and I don't think adcom's would see anything wrong with a person whose scores show a steady improvement over time.
