Oh goodness. I'm testing out ACT for the first time ever! I have been studying for the SAT for like two years and have raised my score to almost a 2200. I'm gonna try the ACT just to see how I would do.

I would like to know if anyone did something like this where they studied for the SAT for a long time and then tried the ACT and found that the SAT studying helped them take their ACT and as a result got a high score (33+).

BTW: I know SAT and ACT are different from each other; I've heard plenty of the really really smart people say that (students and prep teachers alike).

So what was your score for SAT? And then when you tried the ACT, what score did you get?

I scored a 30 on the ACT and a 2050 on the SAT, scores that are pretty much equivalent to one another. I think your SAT prep should probably help you on the ACT, but be aware that there aren’t really “trick questions” on the ACT like there are on the SAT, your essay score stands alone, and there isn’t a guessing penalty–I really appreciated those things about the test. Best of luck!

I got a 34 ACT with a lot of prep and a 2220 SAT with 0 prep. But, my PSAT score was 203, and it was 203 before I studied for the SAT. So maybe ACT prep = SAT prep. IDK but the correlation is there
