Hello guys,
I am taking the say US history test this coming june and I was wondering how far into the years do we have to know?
I’ve taken AP test and class and my teacher has taught us until the nixon period. Do we have to know further than that?
Thanks
I believe it may be on the college board website but I’m not completely sure. Just google “sat us history breakdown” or something
I would learn up until the late 1980s (they sometimes ask about Reaganomics/Iran-Contra), and I have also seen questions about the Clinton administration as well, though they are far and few between (so don’t really worry about that). I took the test myself.
If you have prepared for/taken the APUSH exam, I wouldn’t worry too much about the SAT II; just make sure you don’t get “rusty.”
I took the APUSH exam and got a 5 and got a 780 on the Subject Test. The questions are slightly different in what they ask, so I’d just look over some practice questions. In terms of studying, don’t worry too much if you’ve already studied for the AP exam, but look over some Carter/Reagan-era stuff if you want a score of 750+.
The May test had a question on the Patriot Act (2001). I think you are guaranteed to get a Bush-era question, most likely concerning 9/11 or the war in Iraq.
