SAT vs. ACT.. should i take the ACT?

in the fall, i'm either going to retake the SAT and the SATIIs or try out the ACT.

first try on the PSAT i got a 182, second time i got a 202, first time on the SAT i got a 2040 (cr 610, math 640, writing 790), second time on the SAT i got a 2150 (cr 640, math 720, writing 780)

i just did a practice ACT exam on princetonreview.. i skipped the essay.
i got composite 29, english 29, math 31, reading 33, and science 26.

considering that that was my first try, do you think it'd be worth it to practice and try to get a score that'd be better than my SAT?
or should i just study for an SAT retake instead?
i want to apply to UCLA.. here's their collegeboard range. i'm not sure if the SAT and ACT scores necessarily seem to go hand in hand based on what i've read of 'equivalents'.
SAT
cr 570-690
math 610-740
writing 580-700
ACT
24-31

Well a between a 2150 and a 29, the 2150 is better. But for your first time that's really good and you probably have the potential to do even better, like in the 32+ range if you study. You definately can't take both?

If you can, take both.

i suppose i probably can, but i don't want my grades to suffer as a result of stress. i'll have a job again when the school year starts, i have to retake subject tests, then either the SAT or ACT (or both), maintain straight A's in AP classes, etc.

i might, i'm just not sure if i'm up to it.

War chant guy is correct, take both if you can, but otherwise take the ACT
