Howdy.
All right, so I'll be going into my senior year and I've only taken the SAT so far, but it's /really/ less than impressive.

Score: 1730
Math: 490
Reading: 590
Writing: 650
(Essay: 10)

Considering I want to be a science major, my math score is extremely depressing.
I do well at science, but not necessarily with math (particularly geometry), which is why I was considering the ACT, but I won't have time to study for both. If I were to get a good science/math score on the ACT, would my math score on the SAT be overlooked? I'm much better with direct questions, but I don't want to leave my math score the way it is.

So, considering my current score, do you think I could break 1900 on my SAT (or at least bring my math score up to 600), or should I just go for the ACT? My target school is UC Davis, if that factors in somewhere. We honestly can't afford classes or books for studying, and I haven't been able to find a job anywhere, so I'd really be limited on test prep.

Any advice would be much appreciated. (:

Thanks.
