<p>So, what is the difference between the math on the regular SAT and the SAT II? It seems that a lot of people are posting scores that are somewhat similar for the two tests. Is that a correct observation? Is math analysis helpful for either test? How about Stats?</p>
<p>SAT II is meant to measure how much you learned in math class. SAT I is meant to measure mathematic ability. But if you score well on one, you will probably do well on the other, and vice versa. Neither of them requires anything higher than precalculus.</p>
<p>Is it better to take the SAT II math after Algebra II or after math analysis/precalculus?</p>
<p>as late as possible. if you need it for application, take it late junior year or early senior year. if it's just for placement, take it after applying.</p>
