how is college board going to be informed of this?

We should all write 100 letters to them jk, who has time for that. Um, e-mail? I’m not really sure where to go from here…

I would just call them tomorrow and tell them that they mixed up your score with someone else’s.

I did that today and the lady put me down for a re-score. But my subject test scores were really high… I’m not someone who gets sub-700 test scores.

Maybe if we all call saying they mixed up our scores, College Board will realize that something is wrong and take us more seriously.

I don’t think the answer key for MC was wrong because I predicted around 3-4 wrong and I got a 69 (which is 4 wrong).

But, I’m just angry about my essay… I put double the effort on my essay this time around and I received the same score as last Jan’s test, a 9. Like it’s not a terrible score, but I seriously expected at least a 10; I followed the whole “Write a 12 Essay in 10 Days” guide, had decent examples, four longg paragraphs, completely filled 2 pages… but then again, I heard a lot of people who had the “high achievers” prompt got abnormally bad scores…

Does anyone know what the number i should call is?
I feel like the same thing happened to me, which sucks because this will be my final sat and im ed’ing to a college

Oct.
Writing: 660!!!
CR:740
Maths:800

March:
Writing: 800
Math: 780
Reading: 680

^ that’s really weird…

Wait, so we can just call them and tell them that they mixed up the scores and they’ll recheck?

Are there always threads like this after SATs? Because I wasn’t going to say anything, but my writing score seems inconsistent as well…

My problem
My march score: 2220 640/800/780

I studied CR all summer, and resulted in 700-750 in all my practice tests consistently.

After the test, i was extremely happy how i did.
Checked answers with cc. Found 3 wrong (would be a bit more, but cc always discusses the hardest questions)

My result: 630/720/690 essay 11… Shocked, depressed, and cried.
Thank you others for speaking up. I hope collegeboard made a mistake

addition: CB has made mistakes in 2006, where it scored 4000+ scores wrong.

CB waited until March, when most admissions decisions had already been made, before disclosing the problem (that they’d known about since December!), and then misrepresented the magnitude of the errors. Their offer to the affected students? A refund of their testing and score report fees!

my opinion: starting this year, CB has changed a little. They required everyone to include photos in their tickets, and the format of the tickets changed. It is likely that their system for marking tests changed too.

CB has made mistake in scoring tests in 2005 (or 2006…) OCTOBER, but they have admitted their mistakes in April - which is way too late for every senior. There is a high chance that this year’s test could have included errors.

Currently A LOT of students did not get their scores back, and many seniors may not even be able to submit their ED/EA’s. Many say the reason is that their system had crashed (i forgot when), and october is when most kids take the test - and CB is underemployed maybe, or because the system for marking the test has changed (my opinion).

I don’t recall any other threads like these after the test for other dates.

My conclusion: If CB makes does mistakes, then it would be for this test.

I completely agree. Now the question: What now?

Let’s go burn down College Board!

But then the scores won’t be changed at all But seriously, should we call them, e-mail them, write to them, etc.? Do they have any idea that there is a possibility that something is wrong with scores?

Yea we need to act fast. But what can we do? =/

just to add to this thread

march
800 80 mc 10 e

this time
700 69 mc 9 e

Really did not feel like I missed that many questions on writing. Most were fairly straightforward. Im starting to get doubts on the score.

you can STILL CHANGE YOUR SCORE
u can pay $55 to request for a rescore (rescored by hand). If an error is detected, ur money is refunded. I’m doing this.

But first, to double check, i’m waiting until oct 30 to see the detailed score report

We should all send them a message on their website saying that many people are getting lower than expected writing scores and if enough people send, I think they will realize something is wrong with the test
