does brown take the highest combined or highest single sitting SAT score?

yeah bump this **** i wanna know too.

don't know for sure but I think the highest combined.

Almost all schools take highest combined, Brown included, though your grade report will show them all.

but they only consider highest combined...right?

I'm thinking (and hoping) [probably praying] {running out of documentations} that they take the highest combined, I am curious though what they do with the ACT. Probably composite, because I'm unlucky both in life and sexual prowess.

that's tough, bro.

does brown take scores from the old sat?...and has anyone received the paper app?

the graduating class of 2005 is the only class for which the old SAT was considered for admission. now, you have to take the new one, probably just so admissions comms can compare everyone equally, since some applicants may not have taken the old sat. however, i'm not sure whether the old sat scores would appear on the same grade report as new sat scores, if one were to have taken both. i don't know for sure about the ACT, but i would assume they don't combine the highest single scores but rather look at the highest score in one sitting, since this is what they have always done.

i tried emailing Brown but just kept getting an automated reply saying they're swamped w/ emails and not all will get replies....Dartmouth always replies my emails the day after....i dont know for a fact but it seems like a lot of the Ivys are taking both, why would Brown choose to do otherwise? damn collegeboard i like the old SAT
