Anyone know what the curve was for the French SATII? Ex:
-4/800
-5/770
-6/720
etc.

I might be able to help out when I get my full score report...

Awesome, thanks! BTW, does anyone know how the PR practice tests compare to the actual test?

I'd say they were pretty close, a little easier maybe. I should have that report by tomorrow

Do you mean that the PR practice tests were easier or that the actual test was easier?

bump bump bump

I thought the PR tests were easier, and they pretty much test the grammar the book has just taught you, so you seem to do better...

So I got my score report, but I don't know how much it helps, I'll just post what I got told:

I got an 800, so I'm in the 770 - 800 range, and in the 90 percentile...

My subscores were 80 for reading (score range 76 - 80) and 80 for listening (range 75 - 80), both in 92 percentile. I don't think those are my actual raw scores though...

mes sentiments exactements! the PR tests examine what you've just learned so you do better. but i still think the rules are great, and even though the real thing is like different terrain, i'll still be able to apply the rules, par exemple, whenever i see a question having "quoi que", i don't even bother reading the rest of the question before choosing the subjunctive, etc....

i'm going thru PR a second time...pity i don't have barrons or can't even get it to buy anywhere here (at the USEAC, I was lucky to even find PR French). and yeah, i took your advice marina_b, and am doing better on the comprehension tests, thanks :) i don't think the examiners expect you to understand every single word in the passages anyway. just to get an overall sense of the passage and understand the relevant portions, lol.

btw, i don't really think score reports for SAT2 are so helpful to the test-taker in some cases cos they never reveal one's raw scores!!!

yeah, my local USEAC isn't all that helpful either...I've bought absolutely all my books off amazon.com

Jrock you're exactly right about the comprehension, just try to understand the context of the words you don't know, I'm sure you'll be fine :)

chillaxin, sorry I couldn't be more helpful with the curve, and good luck if you're taking the test next saturday!!

Thanks! =] Does anyone know how accurate the vocab list in PR is?

does anyone know how close to the real thing the practise tests in REA's books are? according to REA's book, u can get 9 wrong and still get a 800.. not sure how accurate this is

is there a copy of PR or barron's practise test on the net that i can get my hands on?=)

for all those who did the actual test, is there anything tricky that collegeboard particularly likes to test?thanks!:D:D:D:D

Does anyone know how Barron's tests compare to the actual test in difficulty?

I found both Barron's and PR's tests very similar to the actual test, in difficulty and in the type of questions asked. I was scoring 800 on the Barron's tests before taking the SAT, so I assume they are fairly accurate.

hmm great...if i can only get my hands on a copy of barrons:(
