I have only taken 2 SAT II's and have no plans to take anymore tests. I realize that Georgetown requests 3 SATII's. However, when I looked on the Collegeboard website, it says that Gerogetown requires SAT/ACT, but only recommends SATII's. Finally, I emailed the admissions office and was told that 3 SATII's were "strongly recommended". I am thinking of applying with just the SAT, ACT, and 2 SATII's, but was wondering if anyone has heard of anyone applying without all 3 SATII's and whether you think my applying without them is pointless. Thanks!

Well, I have never heard of anyone getting in with 2 Sat IIs. I've always been told that 3 are required. How did you do on the two that you have always taken? What are your other stats as a candidate? If those are really strong, then maybe you don't need the third Sat II.

I know my credentials are not outstanding. Georgetown is a definite reach for me:

Strong Essays, Excellent Rec's
Those are most of my credentials. I also some jobs, some other minor EC's, and summer activities (including leadership positions), but that provides a pretty good picture of me. As you can tell, I am mostly interested in government and language.

they said if you only submit 2 SAT II's make sure you submit your AP scores in a different subject then the 2 SAT IIs, so you should be fine

Are we SUPPOSED to report out AP scores? I heard that we should do that only after we were accepted. Would it be too late to report them now?

Oh, okay, thanks. Where did you hear that, hec2008?

My daughter's school puts the AP scores on the transcripts.

Your stats look good - did your guidance counsellor tell you Georgetown was a definite reach? It's hard to get into but you look like a fit to me. If I were in the admissions office, I'd accept you for sure. :-) We went to a session where the Georgetown admissions office said 3 SAT II's were not an absolute requirement.

I pretty sure I have been to every Georgetown anything in my area and to the school itself :). That was the admission officers answer to someone's question and one of receptions I went to.
I don't think it is too late but you didn't have to send them, at least self-report them though. My AP scores are way better than my other scores so i sent the offcial becuase I knew it would help substantiate my GPA, which too is much better than my other scores.

Thanks for all the answers. They were really very helpful- I think I will apply.

MM2k- Thanks for the feedback. I didn't really talk to my GC about Georgetown, but the main reasons I think it is a reach for me are my GPA and SAT. I realize that a 2110 is not that bad, but I did really well in both CR and WR, and not so well in Math and GU doesn't count the WR.
