my sat scores are 1510 out of 2400 which is a 1010…i know, uh oh haha
i dont think i am taking them again though since im majoring in musical theatre
do you know if ithaca will accept you if your sats are low, but u broke the 1000, they loved your audition, you have great extra cariculars, great letters, and a good gpa (3.3)? Thanks!

Remember that you have to be academically qualified as well...you should probably attempt to take those SATs over. You're applying for a Bachelor of Fine Art program with some academic component...some schools, like Carnegie Mellon or to a greater extent Boston Conservatory wouldn't care as much if you gave a very hot audition, but Ithaca is one of those schools that's sort of grade/SAT conscious (maybe not as much as NYU or Michigan, but still enough that that SAT score could lower your overall chances of admission). You really have nothing to lose by taking the SAT again...study up for it, and if you have a 3.3 GPA, you're probably good enough to break 1800. Part of scoring well on the SAT is knowing how to take the test. Take practice tests, maybe even an after school class, stuff like that. Good luck!

The middle range of SATs at Ithaca would be about 1260. You might get accepted with SATs of 1010 since your GPA is pretty good, but your score is definitely on the low end of acceptable. Study up and take the SATs again!

I would echo what the others here have said. You have nothing to lose (but the sitting fee and the time) by taking the SATs again, and much to gain. Be aware, as well, that a good amount of merit scholarship money is often tied (even at BFA programs such as Ithaca's) to academic performance. Sometimes, for many of us, that $$ makes the difference between being able to afford a school and having to select another. Good luck!
