SATs In College...?

Hi I'm currently attending Community College I plan to transfer to a 4yr school when I'm done. I took my SATs in High School and didn't do well I got a 1550 I know horrible!!!! I want to get into a good school and receive good scholarships and grants but I know with that score it isn't really possible. Any suggestions? Should I take the SATs again? What to do??? Please help me! Thank you.

To be fair, 1550 is average, which means some colleges won’t even care about it. But if you want to get into a competitive school I recommend taking the SAT again. Buy a practice book from College Board, good luck!

The best thing you can do right now is get good grades at the community college. That will be the primary determiner of where you can get accepted later.

In my opinion, if your community college offers an SAT prep courses, they would be helpful to you. Or you can take an online course, buy a prep book and do much practice.

By the way, if you aren’t a native speaker, English might be a challenge in the SAT. You may want to take an ESL course in the meantime.

Good luck with your next SAT test!

Thank you for your answers I appreciate all your advice and feedback. How long do you think I should study for? I have a prep book from 2011. I hope I can really improve. I’m actually a good grade student and I took AP’s in high school and did very well. I hope I can get a much better score. :)
