So I was searching though the internet and I came across a website that says they'll evaluate my chances at colleges for 8 dollars. And I'm like WTH man, I can just do that on CC, so...

yeah its not much but I do alot with all of them (except NHS & science leauge), you know have passions instead of being a part of a lot of organizations.

I won a male beauty pagent for my school, where I performed the Tom Lehrer classic "New Math"

I now work as a local township intern 20 hrs/w
I will have maybe 50 hours of pure community service over 4 year, which is bad, but then again I do so much school service so whatever.

My parents have too many assets to qualify for any finanical aid (sold a house and put all revenue in the bank), so I would like some merit aid chances if possible.

Oh, yeah the schools I'm looking at

MIT EA
Caltech EA
UChicago EA
Rice ID
Northwestern
Princeton (should I apply ED or go for the 4 EAs)
Harvey Mudd
Claremont Mc-N-A:)
WASHU
Carnegie Mellon
UPitt (safe)
Rutgers NB(legacy - both parents and about 10 cousins or their parents)

So as you can see there is a big gap between The top 10 and RU/UPitt, so could someone find schools to close the gap?

it all looks pretty good.... you have everything, grades, sat, and ec's with some good leadership... the only thing is that MIT, Princeston are both kind of unpredictable so who knows.. but you are def. on target for every one. Northwestern, WashU, are both matcches. I would look at duke, dartmouth, emoiry, upenn maybe

bump.........

Don't waste the ED on Princeton. White, upper middle, frow NJ with below average SaTs=really low chance.

you have a solid list. if you can get sat 2200+, i say in at at least one of the EA schools you put

MIT EA - Big Reach
Caltech EA - Big Reach
UChicago EA - Reach
Rice ID - Reach
Northwestern - Reach
Princeton (should I apply ED or go for the 4 EAs) - Big Reach
Harvey Mudd - Reach
Claremont Mc-N-A - Not Sure
WASHU - Reach
Carnegie Mellon - Match

For most of the schools you listed, your SATs are not strong enough. In general, for the Ivies and schools like MIT and CIT, you need at least a 2250.

Given your grades, SATs, class rank, and interests, here's some other schools you might want to consider:

Johns Hopkins
Rochester Institure of Technology
U of Michigan at Ann Arbor
Lehigh
Case Western
NJIT

By the way, Wash U is very strong in the bio sciences and pre-med, but not so strong in math.

I visited Umich at ann arbor and it did not fit at all, it was too in the middle of nowhere and everyone seemed to be on drugs, or at least high on football, in April! I don't think RIT is a very good school b/c its all computers, which is not my forte. I really want out of NJ and I believe Lehigh is in the middle of nowhere too? I don't know much about case western, and is JHU just another reach school for someone like me?

Also, would I be able to get in to UMaryland Honors, with money, which I could use as a bargaining tool for other places?

Yeah I'm having some issues w/ washu math, see http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=207811

Everything is a huge reach for you... Your SAT sucks,

______ set & spike

_______ & run

I would pay the 8 dollars.

No one here knows the college admissions process. We are just kids.

Sorry, I didn't mean to ______ into you

Below is a couple of links to lists of public and private colleges with good math departments. It was compiled by the National Resource Council which is part of the National Academy of Science. Granted, the lists are about 10 years out of date, but still it would be a good place for you to start.

Lol Male Beauty Pageant

______er cars

looking pretty good. mit, upenn and caltach might be slight reaches given your verbal...but its not that serious. i think you're in on all of them. My friend got into MIT with an 800m and 650 v so you're lookin real good for that. you're SAT2's are above par, so dude...forget all these other people. take the shot! the only sure thing of you not getting in is if you don't apply. 50 bucks for an application won't mean anything if you get in! :) best of luck to you :)

Midn 4/c UPitt woo.

speed ______

how many s is too many _s?

Uhh you've bumped this way too much. If you want Princeton REAL bad then apply ED, because they overaccept in ED, and leave very little spots for RD.
