Spread the word! Healthcare will ruin the country!

Agreed. People shouldn’t be treated for potentially terminal illnesses for FREE. What is this, Canada?

If sick people don’t have enough money to pay for health insurance, they shouldn’t be allowed to live.
[/sarcasm]

I don’t get it, are you trying to make an argument or something, or are you confused about your own beliefs?

/■■■■■ topic

at least I hope so.

^Does it really matter if it’s a ■■■■■ topic?

People on this site will argue matters to the death, even if it was obviously posted to insight anger.

I have no doubt that if someone claimed that the thirteenth amendment should be abolished, people would argue about the claim for at least five pages.

Nope, we need to stop the government from forcing this socialist legislation down our throats.

Stop the deals being made, stop the faulty processes like reconciliation and slaughter rule.

Personally I’m sick of Obama also, he should start his own religion instead of running the U.S., but I digress

I don’t like the way the whole health care thing is going through but I would really like to have health care; with my family making less than $40,000 a year, we can’t quite afford the health care offered through private companies and my mom’s work doesn’t offer a good and reliable plan. What I want is an affordable option for people who can’t afford it now.

Opponents of this bill aren’t arguing against health care reform. They’re arguing with how health care should be changed (mandated versus made for affordable). Mandated=socialist. As far as I’m concerned the pursuit of happiness does not equate with giving all people adequate healthcare.

The way this bill is being passed is also a big criticism (through backroom deals and rules that were never meant to be used for changing something as big as 1/6 of our economy). It’s extremely corrupt if you ask me.

The current bill is awful and is just another showcase of how no matter who we vote in, we’re screwed. Obama may have meant well during his campaign but so far has not indicated to me that he’s any different than any other politician.

This country will never change without action.

oh no ! socialism ?! in our country !!! ???

Oh no! Backroom deals and questionable procedural maneuvers being used to accomplish something? That’s never happened before!

dON’T LISTEN TO THE DEMOCRATS. THEY WILL BRAINWASH YOU WITH THEIR SOCIALIST AGENDAS

I don’t like the health care bill since I don’t think its truly is going to solve the problem.

However I do think everyone deserves healthcare. Nobody should fear going to the hospital because they could have to potentially file bankrupt. But what needs to stop most are the practices that go on that jack up health insurance so much. There is so much waste within the health care industry.

Not to mention what this will do to the economy (it will tank).

Oh yea maybe the government should pay for our housing, food, and cars, because we have to drive right? This is a fundamental issue with the values of which the country was founded on.

Obama has gotten as far as he’s gotten because he’s a propagandist. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has the hidden intention of driving the country right into the ground.

This healthcare will push us closer to financial ruin. This country is going down the tubes. It sucks to be going to college right now. Hopefully there will be jobs when I graduate.

I know, it’s so annoying having to pay for other people’s healthcare. Why don’t those poor people buck up and get 6-figure jobs like I’m going to?

Heck, we should spend 1/6 of our nations economy on healthcare for people in Africa and the Middle East because they are equal human beings. Get real.

…you realize that the 1/6 of our nations economy is the amount we currently spend on healthcare, yes? It doesn’t mean that the government is going to take another 1/6 of the economy and throw it at healthcare.

Exactly, so according to your logic we should redistribute 1/6 of our wealth to other nations around the world, what a plan. Want to stop being passive aggressive and answer me directly? WHat are the benefits of this bill? OH yeah, there are none.

Only if you don’t count saving the lives of poor people as a benefit. Of course, that seems very possible, if you think that giving healthcare to poor people is equivalent to taking your healthcare and giving it to people in Africa.
