SBU Programs (Simons & Garcia)

Did they send our acceptance /rejectio letters for Garcia yet?? I’m really nervous!

anyone get any notification from the Garcia program yet?

dont they usually give notice sometime in march?

bumpty bump bump

bump anyone?

Acceptance letter has been sent. Everyone was sent the same letter, I can see other people it was sent to.

they sent it to everyone who got in? don’t they usually do it in waves? does this mean that if you haven’t gotten a letter yet, you’ve been rejected?

not sure if there are multiple waves, all I know is there was a email saying congratulations, you got accepted to like fifty people

I know at least one person who isn’t going. There might still be hope.

does anyone know if there is a waitlist? and will they fill in the spaces for the accepted students who do not attend? keeping my fingers crossed :/

same here, you think they replace those not coming?

if you got accepted, what schools are you from?

is Simons competitive?

I believe Simons is quite competitive, even though their website mark of “15% accepted” may sound not selective to people, especially considering RSI’s ~2-3%, lol. It’s just that the applicant pool is pretty darn aggressive, that despite the ‘higher’ acceptance rate, it’s pretty difficult to get in.
But I wouldn’t take my word for it - I’m an applicant this year and would love to hear more from past attendees :)!
