<p>Hi all. I'm afraid to apply to scholarships that College ******* recommends because I'm afraid they might be scams. How often does this happen? Or is it generally safe? How do i recognize a scam, if it is one?</p>

<p>Don’t apply to anything that you have to pay to apply to. Don’t pay anything for lists of scholarships etc. If you are suspicious about a particular scholarship, try googling it. Also try googling it and the word “scam” and see what comes up.</p>
