<p>It is standard practice for the teacher to send the recommendation in a sealed envelope (usually with their signature written across the seal) within a larger envelope. This insures to the admission’s office that the recommendation has remained confidential as well as officially mailed by the teacher/school. Transcripts are sent from the guidance office–again, sealed and usually placed in an official envelope from the high school with the return address of the high school imprinted on it.</p>
