Reading that some people have already been accepted to GSP scares me because their stats are similar to mine, but I have not received a letter from NYU!! Anyone who was put into GSP already, where do you live and when did you get the letter? Thanks!

^^ I am feeling the same way right now...

the same thing happened to me w/ ed. I was scared because my scores were simliar to the GSP, however I got accepted to CAS.
so don't worry you still have a chance :)

thanks....it's just really hard waiting another month to find out if i got in or not. I wish i could find out now

I haven't even sent my application (transfer) and I'm terrified. But I'm not expecting to get in, so I won't have too much to lose.

IM really scared about getting rejected! This is especially true since I dont know whats going to happen with me. One kid on this website siad that my chances for CAS were extremely low, but then two other kids say Im def in to CAS if I dont get GSPed. Since im always nervous, I assume that if I dont get GSPed there isnt much hope for me. But then again, kids on this website do screw with the statistics (they make schools like, oh, uf impossible to get into if you don't have a 1400). I don't know what to believe anymore. I share your feelings.

yes this website will scare you.
some people really do want to intimidate you- which is mean in my opinion. You just have to have faith in urself- and hope that that same confidence came across in ur app. IT IS NOT A NUMBER GAME
(b/c i know i had loww scores and I got in :) )

I'm scared, too. I wasn't for the longest time, but I applied ED for Columbia (my mother really wanted me to go there) and I was flat out rejected. I've now got this fear I won't get into any colleges but the local community colleges.
And everyone with all these high stats scares me...

Oh.. Bandnerd06, not to worry! You actually made me laugh out loud, but don't worry.

I don't think it's entirely a number game - I got accepted into Stern Early Decision and my SAT scores were pathetically low (but I did have pretty good EC's!)

Don't worry, have fun in the next couple of months and then in April they'll surprise you! No point in stressing out now over something you don't really know right? :)

bandnerd06-- You and I are in the exact same position, because i applied to Columbia ED as well, and my hopes are low for other schoos now. It's really scaring me as well....my SATs are not too impressive

My SATs are most likely what will keep me out. I'm sad thinking about all the rejections I will receive.

I'm so scared about getting rejected everywhere! I recently got rejected from scholarship consideration at USC and I've already been deferred (which means rejection, most likely, if you look at the stats) from Harvard. Plus, I applied to freakin TISCH, to make things even harder, I'm just so worried right now.

bandnerd/mcheeatsfish- basically the same thing happened to me too but with penn. now i am just convinced that i will be rejected EVERYWHERE since there was obviously some flaw in my application... but i guess we shoudln't freak out too much because everything seems kind of random/really subjective depending on who's looking at the app. idk. but yeah... i am so nervous about this whole process. i'm sure it will work out somehow, though.

tawny, well hopefully you've applied to some other schools. If USC, Harvard, and Tisch were your only choices, then your list was way too short.

Well of course i applied to other schools, I've just only heard stuff from USC and Harvard.

for anyone who received GSP letters already, where do you live and when were they dated? Thanks and Congratulations too, of course!

Oh, and does anyone think that NYU is still sending GSP letters out?

I would think that they'd send all of the GSP letters out at the same time...but I'm not sure.

Now I've got this feeling like "Okay, I know I was rejected.... Now what?" I'm sure I was rejected from Brown, Cornell, UVA, W&M, and Barnard, too.

Hogwart-Son received GSP letter yesterday the 27th- it was dated 2/23
