scared for rd UGA class of 2012--Chance me for once

<p>I am going to do a quick outline of my stats:
Resident of Georgia
I am going to apply with a 3.8-3.83 weighted gpa..unweighted like a 3.4
I also got a 26-27 on my act or a 1680 SAT score ( I know its low)
I have taken about 10 ap classes and all honors..no regular-unforetunately i got a C in math and a D in chem one semester and possibly another C this semester in AP lit
I have alot of leadership- President of 3 clubs and officers in a couple others ( actually did stuff in and outside of school)
---I set up a recycling program at school
---recognized for being an affliate for a governmental organization that was best in georgia
Martial arts trainer teaching people of all ages and working 8 hours a week.
--Going to have a good essay and amazing recommendations</p>

<p>I think you actually have a pretty good shot. Good rigor, good GPA, your ACT scores aren’t terrible either</p>

<p>What type of high school are you attending in GA; public or private? What is the acceptance rate to UGA from your high school? You can always explain your stumble in Chem and Lit but you better focus and improve those this semester. Remember, AP classes give the college an idea of how you will perform in college. How many times did you take the SAT and the ACT? I think you have a shot, but I would express interest and maintain a strong GPA this year to prove you can handle GA.</p>
