What is the scariest movie you've ever seen?

I know it depends on the type of person, but I've heard so much hype on the exorcist, so I decided to rent it with some friends last night and found it more funny than scary except for a few scenes. The Ring and the grudge scared me much more than the exorcist did even though they get less talk. I am more of a jumpy scary or a creepy creature you can't get rid of scary like the girl in the ring and the grudge. Others may find bloody movies more scary but those really don't affect me. So...what movie scares you?

LOL
It’s scary because it’s relevant to what society may come. I’m not much for scary movies(I get really freaked out), so that’s definitely one of the top scary ones I’ve seen. I did see Twilight yesterday though.

I don’t get it. How would society become like that in the day after tomorrow? It’s filled with impossibilities =O

AMG did year hear that one of the ice caps could be gone in 10-20 years from now. I wasn’t paying attention to the new story, but that’s whats they said! =O

I just saw Paranormal Activity today. I will shoot anyone who says that was scary. Please explain to me how that was at all scary. Nothing happened. Some doors closed and some sheets moved. The part where she got dragged had me laughing. Maybe I just don’t understand but that was probably the worst horror movie I have ever seen. Other people in the theater were laughing, too. And don’t even get me started on the ending. It was terrible. Everyone in the theater was just like, “***?! That’s it!” I don’t mean to rant like this but it was god-awful.

I remember seeing an article on it. It’s depressing:/ (Stupid Global Warming)
Isn’t the story relevant to human’s contact with the earth which is soon detrimental for society?

^^^ My friend came into the movie thinking it was all real or something and he FREAKED out for the rest of the night lol. He said he found it hard to move, go up stairs, and later in the night he was on facebook and a belt fell down in his closet and he flipped out like crazy.

Transformers 2. This was the first Michael Bay movie I managed to get all the way through, and it made me fear the fate of society, since this was one of the most popular movies of the year. Also, John Turturro in a thong was pretty frightening.

For a more serious answer, The Sixth Sense scared the crap out of me when I was about 11. Otherwise, movies don’t really scare me that much anymore.

As for a scary and good (i.e. well made) films the best are The Shining, Silence of The Lambs and The Excorsist (sp?). But for a truly terrifying and screwed up movie you have to go with Eraserhead…

^I forgot about Eraserhead. I like that movie just because it’s so bizarre, but it did kind of freak me out a bit.

Another screwed up movie that I forgot freaked me out is Natural Born Killers. I love the movie, but it is kind of hard to get through the first couple of times, lol.

You should watch the Japanese versions of One Missed Call, The Grudge (Ju-On), and The Ring (Ringu). The American versions don’t do them justice at all.
