scary movie

rhpc, psycho... (just to keep this going, well... get this going)

the exorcist (original)

I watched it when I was seven. It sacred the hell out of me.

OMG I LOVE THE EXORCIST! That was like the funniest movie ever! I'm not even joking. I started laughing out loud when she turned her head around on her neck. I kept playing it over and over again. I wouldn't stop for like 15 minutes.

i love scary movies- but only for the "frightening" stuff. i HATE them when there is disturbing stuff... related to sex or something (i.e. in the exorcist with the sword... and yeah). that gives me gross nightmares. i know... weird. but otherwise when its just thrill-scary, its awesome.

the only movie that was ever remotely scary was the sixth sense. I was like 10 or something, and it was just freakin creepy.

other movies tend to be scary but not in the "jump out" sort of way. like the ones that make you speculate things about your existence. Donnie Darko comes to mind.

Halloween
The Shining
Carrie
Psycho
Exorcist 2
Silence of the Lambs...i could go on forever

aww man...you guys havent mentioned Saw!!!

barney the movie

the first time i saw the Ring it scared the **** out of me...but after that it wasn't to scary. The Ring 2 was HILARIOUS.

sixth sense if also pretty creepy...
and for some reason What Lies Beneath scared me to death when i was younger...but i haven't seen it in a while so i don't know if it still does.

and i love that tv show, scariest places on earth.

basically any movie involving little children performing vodoo FREAKS me out. normally child=innocence but in movies like 6 sense that is SCARY.

Japanese version of The Grudge aka Ju-On:The Grudge

I cant believe you guys havent mentioned this one yet....Glitter.

Saw? That wasn't necessarily "scary." Then again, a lot of new horror movies could be considered "suspense" or "action" instead.

Saw's not so much scary as ominous and sadistic. But I love the movie to death. I aspire to the twisted brilliance of their art and props department.

probably sixth sense
wow i don't know how you guys can laugh at scary movies...i only saw like 2 seconds of the ring because i spent the rest of it with my eyes closed!

Saw 2 looks scary...

I love the jumpy, ghastly movies.

Grudge - the japanese version.. I closed my eyes for half the time.. i dont even know the storyline because the whole movie was in japanese and i couldnt read the subtitles (because my eyes were closed)

Gothika

Halloween H20

Porteigiest

The Others

Nightmare on Elm Street 1,2,3, all of them

Ok I watched most of these movies when I was like 13,14.. and I got scared very easily.

Hey, NoFX, you mentioned the movie I was thinking!

The Others.

Scared me. I was the only one awake in my house, watching it in the attic and I got so scared I had to stop, turn on all the lights and go to the kitchen to normalize myself. :D

Never watched Nightmare on Elm Street. Or Poltegeist. :( But I thought Freddy vs. Jason was one of the most horrible movies made ever!
