<p>The final grade is out on the grade book. I got an B+, i thought it would have been better 
Pink Book and Thinkwell 95% overall
Mid term - 39/51 (B+)
I thought i did pretty well on the final.</p>
<p>Holy crap those are almost the exact same grades I have. I had like a 95% on Pink Book/Thinkwell and I got a 41.5/51 on the midterm. And I could have sworn I did good on the final. And I got a B+ :/. Maybe this is our grade before the curve?</p>
<p>Welcome to Scerri’s curves. He curves the class by giving the top certain percentage of people A’s, the next group B’s, and so forth, with +/- in between. For example, the top 15% get an A, with the 10-15% percentile getting an A-, then 15-35% getting a B, with 15-20% getting a B+ and 25-35% getting a B-.</p>
<p>I just made those numbers up to illustrate the fact that if everyone does well, you don’t get boosted by the curve. In some ways, you might be hurt by the curve?</p>
