Alright, so I have about a month before the deadline to choose classes for the next school year and I was wondering what to take since I have two more years of high school and I really need to make them count.
Here is what I have told the guidance counselor already:
English 11H
Photojournalism II
Chemistry
Pre-Calculus
APUSH
AP Psych
AP Bio
Study Hall

Now, I have already done one AP class (AP World) and I got two As and two Bs for all the quarters, which is wayyyyyyyyy better than most people in both of my teacher's classes (most kids refuse to read the textbook) and I thought the AP exam was not nearly as bad as I imagined. I am in Geometry now, but plan to take Algebra II in the summer so I can get ahead to level an honors junior should be in. Anyway, I don't think the AP classes besides Bio are gonna be more than a bit difficult. And since I usually get help in math, I should be fine with Pre-Calc. Here's the thing. I have only taken 3 years of Spanish ending with this year and I don't wanna continue on to IV and V. I know colleges want you to challenge yourself and show dedication. But Spanish sucks -___-. My total grade for Spanish 3 will probably be like, a C with As in the first two years. It's mostly because my first two years I didn't learn much since my teachers were either a random new white guy who sucked or a dude who just didn't care if we knew anything and gave us easy As. My point is, if I plan to apply to colleges like, VCU, George Mason, Virginia Tech, JMU, William and Mary, UVA(probably the hardest for me to get into), will it matter if I only have three years of a language? I don't wanna take IV, but I really don't wanna get ****ed over by not continuing Spanish and not getting into some schools as a result. Oh, I have to drop my study hall if I wanna take Spanish IV, which means I have to write a letter to my principal explaining how I won't fail classes if I drop it. Just mentioning it if you think it would overloading or not. So yeah, help out please.
