As an entering engineering student from the states, I've realized my schedule will basically have to have Calculus, Chem, and Physics for both winter and fall terms. I also plan I getting the Math 133 or w/e course out of the way, and potentially my humanities credit, too.

Can any current engineering students, who didn't start from the CEGEP sound off on their U0 schedules?

Do I need 133 for anything engineering wise (basically, can I take it in the summer between U0 and U1?), or should I get it out of the way immediately?

I'd like to get my intro bio class out of the way so I can start some pharmacology classes as soon as possible.

133 is Linear Algebra, and a prerequisite for many higher level math classes and computer programming classes you'll have to take in the future. The elective is not so important to get out of the way, you might want to instead take comp 208 or mime 220 (both classes you have to take the following year which might be nice to have out of the way). some of my friends have done that. 133 can be at times tedious, but it is a very rewarding class.
